My new mission

I have reached a new point in my gaming life. Traditionally, I am a one track individual when it comes to my gaming. I pick up a game, I play said game, I get hooked on said game, I play till I cannot stand it anymore, find new game. Rinse, wash, repeat. While this has served me well in some senses, such as becoming a center piece in a number of clans, guilds and communities, it has failed me in some aspects. Namely that I have no experienced a vast array of games that I could very much enjoy. But that was a trade I was willing to make. I would rather pour all my time into a game then be distracted with many. But I feel as though I should branch out, and try new things.

Now is the perfect time to do this. I have just quit my MMO obsession of the past year, Warhammer Online. For a few days, I did not know what to do with myself- Do I return to TF2 full time and ring for past friends? Do I pick up Left 4 Dead a little more? Do find a new MMO? What will I sink my time into? I have never quite been in such a place where I left a game with no concrete plan as to what game next, or what group of people I was going to play with. So as I thought about it, I realized there are not many games that I want to completely immerse myself in until the KOTOR MMO comes out. So until then, I decided I was not going to commit to anything full time, instead I will explore as many games as possible and write about them. I started tonight...

Recently I had bought a Wii. I did not fully understand why, it was a complete impulse buy. But the fact is since SoF2 came into my life, I had neglected console gaming. Wii seemed cool, but I had no games for it. My friend has been raving about Madworld to me, and tonight he made me play it. I played for 5 minutes. Hooked. As I played it I realized, I have missed so much in terms of consoles. I need to play some titles my friends always raved about. So my journey starts here, with Madworld. I have the day off tomorrow so I plan play it for awhile.

I plan on documenting the whole thing cuz frankly, I am bored and enjoy writing. So yeah. Cool.
